SCA acquires 7 facilities in Q2 2015, HCA shares fall 0.03% & more — 6 key notes on ASC companies

Founder, Portfolio Management and CEO of hedge fund Glenview Capital Management Larry Robbins, increased his stake in Tenet Healthcare by more than 11 percent.

Tenet Healthcare’s ambulatory care EBITDA reached $49 million during the second quarter of 2015, up 88.5 percent from $26 million in the same period the year prior.

Hospital Corporation of America traded at $77.91 per share, down 0.03 percent during the week of Oct. 5 to Oct. 9.

Surgical Care Affiliates acquired seven new facilities in the second quarter of 2015. Of the seven facilities, five were consolidated and two were not consolidated. SCA owned or managed 193 facilities as of August 4, 2015. 

AmSurg’s net revenue for ambulatory services increased 12 percent to $311 million for the second quarter of 2015 from $287.2 million in the second quarter of 2014.

Medical Facilities Corporation reported revenue of continuing operations of $73.6 million during the second quarter of 2015, up 3.4 percent from the second quarter of 2014.
