New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers appoints 4 new leaders

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers announced four new board appointments, according to True Jersey.

1. Andrew Weiss, CASC,  will serve as NJAASC's president for a second year. Mr. Weiss is the administrator of The Endo Center at Voorhees in Voorhees Township, N.J. He is on the board of Ambulatory Surgery Center Association PAC and the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification.

2. NJAASC named Jeffrey Shanton the board of director's vice president, a two-year term. Mr. Shanton is the director of billing and business development at Journal Square Surgical Center in Jersey City, N.J.

3. Scott Bergman, MBA, will serve a second three-year term on the association's board. He is the administrator of Cherry Hill, N.J.-based Millennium Surgical Center.

4. Bonnie Lavoie will serve a three-year term as a board member. She previously served on the NJAASC board from 2011 to 2014.
