Minnesota ASC broke even in 5 months: 4 things to know

Here are four key points on the center.

1. The ASC attributes its success to finding the right strategic alignment partners to develop the successful de novo center. SCA facilitated the development of the multispecialty center and led syndication of 16 additional independent physicians.

2. With 25 physician partners now and more than 70 credentialed physicians using the center, Ridges Surgery Center hosts a variety of procedures including total joint replacements.

3. The physicians and health system partners were looking for value-based options for patients, and SCA was able to foster the partnership. The physicians were able to remain independent while strengthening their relationship with the health system and better coordinating care.

4. The facility increased equity value by 125 percent and physician partners received their first quarterly distributions one year after opening.
