The Lions Eyecare Foundation gave Vista Surgery Center an award last month, according to a report from The Suburbanite.
Vista Surgery Center donated $1,376 to the Lions Foundation after a fundraising campaign that began last August. The staff members raffled off gift baskets to raise the money.
Here are five things to know about Vista Surgery Center:
1. The ASC was opened in 2013 by several physicians from multiple practices focusing on eye care.
2. The surgery center includes cataract, glaucoma, retinal and corneal procedures. The ASC also offers ENT, oral surgery, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery and podiatry.
3. There are 14 physicians with ownership in the ASC.
4. The Vista Clinical Director is Sherri Anderson, RN.
5. Jamie, Zucker, MD, conceived the idea for the ASC and originally brought 11 other ophthalmologists together to begin development.
