ASC management software provider HSTpathways released eChart 2.0, a real-time practice management program.

What you should know:

1. The software uses real-time data to accommodate concurrent charting while improving case costing and inventory management.

2. A team of ASC clinicians and experts designed eChart 2.0, updating more than 40 features from the previous version.

3. The redesigned platform lessens the effectsof prolonged screen exposure and reduces screen-related eye strain and fatigue.

HSTpathways CEO and Founder Tom Hui said, "The goal of deploying an EHR is not to simply replicate the old paper charting system or reproduce an inefficient workflow in a digital format, but to improve workflow leading to improved patient outcomes. A great user experience maximizes physician time with patients and delivers better financial results for ASC organizations."
