• Power outage. Create a plan for a blackout. Assign a team to turn on a back-up generator. With a careful plan in place, a power outage need not derail a business’s entire day.
• Fire. Test any electrical appliances each year. Ensure your staff members are trained in fire extinguisher use. Review storage of any hazardous materials. Put in place a plan to recover from a fire should one occur.
• Internet outage. Temporarily use mobile phones or consider putting in place two different internet connections.
