Three insights she shared:
1. Train staff. ASCs should make sure staff is properly trained on how to best use IT resources. That way, if key staff members decide to leave the ASC, other staffers are ready to step in.
2. Prioritize IT standardization. Using one IT platform can help ASCs manage staff and track patient outcomes.
3. Increase security. ASCs can use their IT platform to protect sensitive patient information by utilizing the cloud, a safer alternative to a physical server which can be affected by weather and other adverse events.
