The Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County is striving to help employees impacted by the wildfires that persisted throughout Sonoma County and local regions for weeks, according to Sonoma West.
Here are four key points:
1. The foundation launched a workforce relief fund and made a matching donation of up to $100,000 for Healdsburg District Hospital in Windsor, Calif.
2. The foundation created similar funds for employees at Windsor-based PDI Surgery Center, a dental surgery center, who were affected by the wildfires.
3. The surgery center is the only specialized nonprofit dental facility in the state caring for children under anesthesia suffering from severe decay.
4. The foundation also raised money for employees at Windsor-based Alliance Medical center impacted by the fires.
