Faith Regional Surgery Center marks 2 decades

A Nebraska surgery center is celebrating 20 years in service.

Five insights:

1. Surgeons at Faith Regional Surgery Center, named Northeast Nebraska Surgery Center at the time, performed the facility’s first two surgical cases in 1999.

2. When it opened, Northeast Nebraska Surgery Center was the first same-day surgery center in Norfolk, Neb.

3. The surgery center has since been renamed Faith Regional Surgery Center after its parent organization, Norfolk-based Faith Regional Health Services.

4. The multispecialty center is a joint venture between physicians and Faith Regional Health Services.

5. In 2018, 4,000-plus surgeries were performed at Faith Regional Surgery Center.
