Western Connecticut Orthopedic Surgical Center in Danbury, Conn., was the site of the first single-day, outpatient total knee replacement in the Danbury area, according to a Hamlet Hub report.

1. The same-day surgery was performed by Robert Deveney, MD, of Danbury Orthopedics.

2.  Dr. Deveney and other surgeons from at The Total Joint Center at Danbury Orthopedics are now offering outpatient joint replacements in the Danbury area.

3. Western Connecticut Orthopedic Surgical Center is a physician-owned ASC led by Diane Heelan, RN, BSN.
