AmSurg shares increase almost 15%, Tenet receives 'B' credit rating & more — 4 key notes on ASC companies

Here are four updates on ASC companies:

1. AmSurg shares increased 14.92 percent and outperformed the S&P by 16.37 percent during the past week.

2. Tenet Healthcare received a "B" credit rating from Morningstar analysts, indicating the company is a high default risk.

3. Medical Facilities Corp. posted its quarterly earnings. MFC reported earnings per share of $0.20, surpassing Thomson Reuter's estimate.

4. Chief Development Officer of Surgical Care Affiliates, Joseph T. Clark, sold 40,000 shares on Aug. 11. The shares were sold at $38.61 per share for a total value of $1.5 million, according to Insider Trading Report.
