Williamsburg, Va.-based Advanced Vision Surgery Center physicians performed several free laser-assisted cataract surgeries to numerous patients as part of a two-day event, The Virginia Gazette reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. The surgery center provided treatments to 21 patients over the course of both days. In addition to the surgeries, the patients were provided advanced lenses to complement the procedure.
2. The center performed the free treatments Dec. 2 and Dec. 16.
3. The center had approximately 20 volunteers on hand to assist with the free procedures.
4. Advanced Vision Surgery Center has two locations in Williamsburg and in Hampton, Va. The practice has served Virginia for 20-plus years.
