Addus HomeCare names AmSurg’s Steven Geringer board chairman: 5 key notes

AmSurg Chairman Steve Geringer was named board chairman at Addus HomeCare.

1. Mr. Geringer has been a director at Addus HomeCare and on the AmSurg board since 2009.

2. His previous roles include CEO of PCS Health Systems, a pharmacy benefits manager, until Eli Lilly & Co., acquired the company.

3. Addus is a comprehensive home and community-based services provider. The company provides care for the home and adult day care.

4. At the same time, Addus named Dirk Allison the new president and CEO, replacing Mark Heaney. Mr. Allison has more than 29 years of leadership within healthcare companies across multiple segments.

5. Mr. Geringer earned his degree at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
