Here are five states with the highest concentration of jobs for physicians, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Notes: The figures represent employment per 1,000 jobs.

•    Rhode Island — 5.39
•    New York — 4.56
•    Maryland — 4.32
•    Maine — 3.76
•    West Virginia — 3.71
