Former Santa Barbara (Calif.) Surgery Center employees who filed a lawsuit against the center retracted their claims, according to court documents.
Former SBSC employees Laura Dahlin and Annette Eddy had claimed wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation and age discrimination.
The lawsuit was filed Nov. 20, 2017. It was dismissed Jan. 10, 2019, due to lack of evidence.
Ms. Dahlin and Ms. Eddy said in a joint statement, "We are sorry for any negative publicity or harm caused to SBSC by our claims, which we fully retract. We realize that lawsuits have two sides, and what we thought we saw was incorrect. We have personally been treated by the physicians at SBSC, and we have nothing but respect for its Medical Director Dr. [Gary] Anderson and all of the doctors and staff at SBSC. We would not hesitate to be treated at SBSC in the future."
