2. Hospital center: 17 percent

3. Academic practice: 15 percent

4. Solo private practice: 11 percent

5. Multispecialty group private practice: 9 percent

6. Academic private practice: 4 percent

7. HMO: 2 percent

8. Military: 2 percent

9. Public institution: 1 percent

10. Locum tenens: 1 percent

The remaining 3 percent of orthopedists reported another practice setting undefined by the survey.
