Work begins on UF Health’s $11M outpatient children’s surgical center

Construction will begin in Gainesville, Fla., on a new University of Florida Health outpatient children’s surgical center, which is expected to open in spring 2016, and will cost $11 million, reports Gainesville.com.

The new facility, totaling 17,500 square feet, will have four large operating rooms and space for children’s family members. It will be connected to UF Health Surgical Center for adult patients, according to the report.
