Wisconsin Village Board approves Advocate Aurora Health’s $228M medical center, office building — 4 insights

The Mount Pleasant (Wis.) Village Board approved Milwaukee-based Advocate Aurora Health’s $228 million, 198,000-square-foot medical center and 98,000-square-foot medical office building rezoning requests, the Kenosha News reports.

What you should know:

1. The medical center will offer surgical and inpatient care, an emergency room and several ancillary services.

2. The medical office building will house 24 specialty providers rehabilitation services, sports medicine and a conference center.

3. Work will begin on both developments in the summer 2019. Advocate Aurora Health anticipates the center opening in early 2022.

4. Advocate Aurora is also building a $130 million ASC and medical office building in nearby Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
