West Virginia Hospital opening ambulatory clinic — 4 insights

Bridgeport, W.Va.-based United Hospital Center is opening an ambulatory clinic in Weston, W.Va., WVNews reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The center will have one surgery suite, with the ability to add up to four more as needed.

2. Hospital administration admitted to struggling with surgical wait times, which they hope this center will help alleviate.

3. The center will be approximately 692,000 square feet and will feature eight stories.

4. In addition to the outpatient portion of the center, it will also feature an acute care facility with 292 private inpatient rooms. The hospital expects to employ 140 new primary and specialty care physicians as a result.
