UPMC opens $19M outpatient center — 4 insights

Pittsburgh-based UPMC opened its $19 million outpatient center near Ebensburg, Pa., The Tribune-Democrat reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The outpatient center is approximately 45,000 square feet.

2. The center will provide outpatient, primary and specialty care services.

3. The center is currently only partially functional. It’ll be at full operation by the year’s end.

4. UPMC Altoona Cove Surgical, Magee Women’s Specialty Services – OB/GYN, UPMC Centers for Rehabilitation Services, UPMC Altoona Elite Orthopaedics, UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and UPMC Altoona Blair Medical Associates cardiology, neurology and dermatology all have a presence at the facility.
