Tift Regional Health System acquires local ophthalmology practice — 4 notes

Tifton, Ga.-based Tift Regional Health System acquired Tifton (Ga.) Ophthalmology, according to The Tifton Gazette. Here are four notes:

1. Bret Wagenhorst, MD, Robert Holme, MD, and support staff are now employed by Tift Regional Health System.

2. Tifton Ophthalmology founder Larry Moorman, MD, retired.

3. The ophthalmology practice will remain in Tifton but change its name to Tift Regional Ophthalmology.

4. Services at Tifton Ophthalmology include eye exams and diagnosis as well as dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, eye tumors and retinal disease treatment.
