Tift Regional Health System acquires ASC, urology practice: 4 highlights

Tifton, Ga.-based Tift Regional Health System purchased Tiftarea Urology and its ASC in Tifton, according to The Tifton Gazette.

Here are four highlights:

1. The health system will employ Greg Anderson, MD, and Jeffry Peters, MD, following the deal.

2. Tiftarea Urology’s support staff and nurse practitioner will also remain at the practice.

3. Tift Regional Health System will change the practice’s name to Tift Regional Urology.

4. Dr. Anderson told The Tifton Gazette the deal will help the physicians prepare for the value-driven healthcare landscape. He added, “Though our practice name has changed, patients can still count on the quality care they have come to expect.”
