TidalHealth plans to close its primary care practice in Federalsburg, Md., on Nov. 15, WBOC reported Oct. 21.
The practice opened as a private practice in 1995 before becoming part of the TidalHealth network, according to patients who spoke with WBOC. TidalHealth didn’t give a reason for the closure. In a statement to WBOC, the health system said it is helping patients establish care at its primary care offices in Bridgeville, Seaford, Delmar and Georgetown.
Patients told WBOC the closure leaves the town with only one other option for primary care.
