Here are five points.
1. Tenet Healthcare and Dignity Health and Ascension will own and operate Carondelet Health Network, based in Tucson, Ariz.
2. Tenet will be the majority stakeholder in the joint venture and will manage the operations of Carondelet Health Network’s two physician groups, three hospitals, ambulatory services, outpatients and other businesses based in Tucson and Nogales, Ariz.
3. Tenet and Dignity Health currently own and operate clinics and hospitals separately in Phoenix.
4. The companies manage an expanding accountable care organization, the Arizona Care Network, which includes almost 750 patient care facilities.
5. The joint venture will enhance Carondelet’s interaction with physicians, offer development opportunities and will finance the growth initiative in Southern Arizona.
