Henry Ford Health System Considering New Surgical Center for Detroit

Henry Ford Health System is considering building a surgical center in Detroit as part of expansion plans for Henry Ford Hospital, according to a Detroit News report.

While official details on the expansion plan have not yet been announced, possible additions include the surgical center as well as an emergency department, inpatient tower and cancer institute.

 

Plans are expected to be announced in about a month. Hospital offices have said the expansion is expected to cost about $500 million.
