SMP will focus on increasing the ambulatory surgery center’s efficiencies and services available to the community
“Gateway Surgery Center is a great facility that provides exceptional care utilizing the latest technology and procedures while focusing on the personalized needs of their patients,” said Michael Lipomi, SMP president and CEO, in the release.
Gateway Surgery Center, which is owned by Medical Associates, a 50-provider multi-specialty medical group based in Clinton, is a multi-specialty outpatient surgery center featuring two operating rooms and two procedure rooms. The ASC provides services in general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, urology, gastroenterology and pain management.
“Our decision to partner with SMP was based on their ability to provide management resources that we could not access on our own,” said Tom Moser, chief operating officer for Medical Associates, in the release. “SMP has demonstrated the ability to improve both the quality and efficiency of those ASCs where they have management partnerships.”
