Here are five things to know.
1. The surgery centers operate as one business entity in separate locations, but with the construction of this new facility they will operate under the same roof.
2. The new facility will be 60,000 square feet and will cost between $23 million and $25 million, according to the report.
3. The consolidated location will house 13 operating rooms and two procedure rooms. It is slated for completion in spring 2017, according to the report.
4. The project earned certificate of need approval in 2014.
5. The Surgical Center of Greensboro and Orthopaedic Surgical Center are affiliated with Surgical Care Affiliates.
