Here are five things to know:
1. The partnership was effective Dec. 1, 2016 and established SCA’s presence in the Miami market.
2. After the most recent acquisition, SCA operates 16 surgical facilities in Florida.
3. The Surgery Center at Doral includes 10 physicians focused on orthopedics, podiatry, spine, pain management and general surgery.
4. The Surgery Center at Doral is now jointly owned by SCA and the physician partners. Previously, the center was a wholly-physician owned center.
5. As of Sept. 30, 2016, SCA operated 205 surgical facilities across the country and partnered with around 3,000 physicians.
