Surgery Partners hits $776M in Q1 revenue: 10 things to know

Brentwood, Tenn.-based ASC chain Surgery Partners recorded $776 million in revenue during the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 8.2% compared to the first quarter of 2024. 

Here are nine more notes, according to a May 12 news release from the company. 

  1. In the first quarter of 2025, same-facility revenues increased 5.2% compared to the first quarter of 2024. 
  2. Same-facility cases increased 6.5% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period of 2024. 
  3. The company recorded a 1.2% decrease in revenue per case during the first quarter of 2025.
  4. Surgery Partners had an EBITDA of $103.9 million during the first quarter of 2025, up from $97.5 million in the first quarter of 2024. 
  5. The company had a net loss of $37.7 million in the quarter. 
  6. Full year 2025 revenue for the company is expected to be between $3.3 billion and $3.45 billion. 
  7. Under its revolving credit facility, Surgery Partners has nearly $400 million of borrowing capacity. 
  8. Surgery Partners had $229.3 million of cash and cash equivalents as of March 31, 2025. 
  9. The company’s ratio of total debt to EBITDA was about 4.1x at the end of 2025’s first quarter.
