Surgery Partners adds 3 affiliates & more — 7 ASC company key notes

Here are seven updates on ASC companies and industry-relevant companies to note:

Spring Hill (Tenn.) Surgery Center, Omaha, Neb.-based Advanced Surgery Center and Houma, La.-based Gulf Coast Surgery Center joined Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partner’s network.

Surgery Partners affiliate Durango, Colo.-based Animas Surgical Hospital is planning a 73,125-square-foot expansion to accommodate growth.

Construction is underway on the Fort Myers, Fla.-based Performance Health Surgery Center, a joint venture between Raleigh, N.C.-based Compass Surgical Partners and five surgeons.

Fairfax, Va.-based Gastroenterology Associates of Northern Virginia and Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg (Va.) left the Advanced Digestive Care network.

Atlanta-based Eye Health America, an eye care practice management company, acquired Clinton, S.C.-based Montgomery & Riddle Eyecare.

Huntington Beach, Calif.-based Beach Eye Medical Group opened an office in Irvine, Calif.

The U.S. Attorney’s Offices for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania formed the Newark/Philadelphia Regional Medicare Fraud Strike Force to closely target healthcare fraud in the region.
