Southern Sports Surgery Center Owners Plan to Sell 38% Stake to SurgCenter Development

Two physician owners of Southern Sports Surgery Center in Hendersonville, Tenn., have filed a certificate of need application for the sale of 38 percent ownership to the ambulatory surgery center management and development company SurgCenter Development, according to the Tennessee CON Report – August 2013.

The physicians currently own a 50 percent stake each. The surgery center currently holds a CON for the establishment of an additional ambulatory surgical treatment center in Hendersonville. The approved project, which also includes the expansion of multispecialty services, is expected to cost $3.36 million.
