South Florida $30M medical pavilion to include ASC: 5 things to know

The Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion going up in South Florida will include an outpatient surgical center, according to a Sun Sentinel report.

Here are five key notes on the medical pavilion:

1. The $30 million medical pavilion is expected to include an 80,000-square-foot surgery and wellness center. The outpatient surgical center covers 18,000-square-feet.

2. The medical pavilion is expected to open in early 2017 and will include an orthopedic center and teaching lab, urgent care center, spine pain clinic and imaging center and fitness and physical therapy.

3. The new project is expected to generate 50 to 60 new jobs in the area, according to Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion founder Lance Lehmann, MD, a pain specialist and anesthesiologist.

4. Axis Healthcare Real Estate and Rendina Healthcare Real Estate are developing the project. Liliana Lehmann is the owner of Axis Healthcare Partners and will also manage the administrative functions for the ASC through Axis Management & Billing Services.

5. Cypress Creek Property Holdings purchased the site in December 2012 for $7.2 million; Liliana Lehmann is a managing member of the company.
