South Bay Plastic Surgeon opens 2.7k-sq-ft surgery center: 5 things to know

Torrance, Calif.-based South Bay Plastic Surgeons is opening a new surgery center, The Aesthetic Institute.

Here are five things to know:

1. The center is 2,700 square feet.

2. Surgeons at the center will offer plastic surgery procedures including tummy tucks, facial rejuvenation and breast augmentation.

3. The Joint Commission accredited the center, which is the newest surgical center in Torrance.

4. In addition to surgical options, the center's licensed aestheticians and nurses will provide patients various nonsurgical services.

5. Surgeons staffing the center include:
•    Michael K. Newman, MD
•    Lisa L. Jewell, MD
•    Whitney A. Burrell, MD
•    Charles W. Spenler, MD
