Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation raising funds for outpatient diagnostic center — 4 insights

The Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation plans to undertake a $20 million fundraising campaign to build an outpatient diagnostic center for Sonoma (Calif.) Valley Hospital, North Bay Business Journal reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The center will be 20,000 square feet. It’ll feature a CT scanner, an MRI machine, updated ultrasound and X-ray equipment and space for the hospital’s cardiology and laboratory services.

2. The foundation is attempting to raise $20 million for the project. To date, it has secured $14 million in commitments from private donors and foundations.

3. The foundation will soon begin a public-facing campaign.

4. The hospital plans to break ground on the center in the summer of 2019.
