SCA shares drop 1.29%, HCA surgery center faces opposition & more — 5 key notes on ASC companies

Here are five updates on ambulatory surgery center companies.

1. Surgical Care Affiliates shares dropped 1.29 percent over the past week. The shares had positive gains over 5.08 percent over the last four weeks.

2. Tenet Healthcare traded with the volume of 3.17 million shares in the last trading session with the average volume being 1.83 million shares. The one month performance of Tenet stock was considered positive with a score of 6.92 percent.

3. Hospital Corporation of America's TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville Tenn. faces opposition after obtaining a certificate of need to move its surgery center. The project is estimated to cost $17 million.

4. HCA's stock traded at $91.98 per share during the week of June 22 to June 26, up 8.98 percent.

5. Amsurg shares dropped 3.1 percent in the last week. The shares posted positive gains of 3.5 percent in the last four weeks.
