SCA partners with Gladiolus Surgery Center — 4 key points

Surgical Care Affiliates partnered with Gladiolus Surgery Center in Fort Myers, Fla., according to Street Insider.

Here are four key points:

1. The partnership went into effect April 1, 2016.

2. Through the partnership, SCA will now operate four ASCs and more than 30 physicians in southwest Florida.

3. SCA operated 193 surgical facilities as of Dec. 31, 2015.

4. Gladiolus Surgery Center physicians offer services in orthopedics, podiatry, urology, general surgery and otorhinolaryngology.

“We are grateful that the physician-owners of Gladiolus selected SCA as their partner and excited about the opportunity to collectively shape the next chapter in the center’s history,” said Rena Courtay, leader of SCA’s Florida operations. “SCA’s rapidly growing network on the southwest coast creates an opportunity for us to maintain access to physician-led, low cost, high quality surgical services in this region for years to come.”
