The firm spent $19 million to acquire Roper Medical Plaza, which houses urgent care, primary care and ambulatory surgery centers affiliated with Roper St. Francis Healthcare System.
The building represents the “hub-and-spoke” trend in medical office and hospital design in the sense that medical services are being offered in a setting more convenient to patients than a hospital, according to Steve Hewett, senior vice president of Sanders Trust. “This building is a continuing evolution of what’s going on in healthcare delivery,” he said.
