Rush University Medical Center to break ground on $65M building with ASC: 5 points

Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center broke ground on its new outpatient medical building in Oak Brook, Ill., according to Daily Herald.

Here are five points:

1. The $65 million outpatient medical building will feature an ASC. The three-story facility is 100,000 square feet.

2. The surgery center will be on the third floor and providers will offer musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal and other surgical procedures.

3. The ASC will feature six operating rooms and two procedure rooms.

4. The medical office building will offer 17 specialties and outpatient surgical suites, 65 exam rooms, physical and occupational therapy and full imaging services.

5. Rush expects to open the facility in spring 2019.
