Here are five key notes:
1. The project will be a new location for Vistar Eye Center while the original outpatient surgery center will remain on Main Street and focus on cataract and cornea surgery.
2. The new surgery center will focus on facial cosmetic, oculoplastic and retina surgery. The clinical offices for Vistar’s facial cosmetics, oculoplastics and LASIK program will have space in the new facility as well.
3. The new center allows surgeons to schedule more surgery days and provide a separate location for patient convenience.
4. Six surgeons are relocating their practice to the new facility and surgeons with privileges at the original Salem surgery center, or who perform the LASIK procedure, could use the new location.
5. The new center is expected to complete in fall of 2016.
