REIT MedSouth acquires surgery center, physician office building

MedSouth HealthCare Properties, based in Charlotte, N.C., has acquired seven medical office buildings for $9.5 million, according to a WilmingtonBiz report.

The private real estate investment trust acquired the properties from a physician group. Six of the buildings are in Wilmington, N.C., and one in Leland, N.C.

The offices comprise approximately 59,000 square feet and house an endoscopy center, as well as gastroenterology, oncology and endocrinology services, according to the report.
