Kahtnu Ventures filed for the CON to build an estimated $8 million, 8,365-square-foot ASC by 2013.
The application has caught the attention of Central Peninsula Hospital, based in Soldotna, Alaska. The hospital’s CEO said if the ASC was approved, it could significantly impact the hospital’s outpatient surgery volume and the profits that come from the procedures.
The CEO also indicated there is little known about the company that filed for the CON, with none of the hospital’s physicians acknowledging involvement in or knowledge of Kahtnu Ventures, according to the report.
