Physicians Endoscopy joint ventures on 43rd ASC; Surgery Partners’ market cap hits $282.6M & more — 5 ASC company notes

Here are five updates on leading ASC companies from the past week.

Jamison, Pa.-based Physicians Endoscopy is partnering with St. Mary Medical Center, the Gastroenterology Group PA and Center for Colon and Rectal Health physicians, all based in Langhorne, Pa., to acquire a minority interest in Langhorne-based The Endoscopy Center at St. Mary. The GI-focused ASC has four operating rooms.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners is opening a surgery center in Beverly Hills, Calif. Surgery Partners’ surgery center will offer ophthalmology services and is 12,000 square feet.

Analysts rated Surgery Partners shares a “buy” earlier this month.  The company’s market cap. is $828.64 million.

Three Peaks Capital Management increased its stake in Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. by 225,813 shares during the third quarter of fiscal year 2016. As of its most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Three Peaks Capital Management owns almost 0.23 percent of Tenet.

Nashville-based Hospital Corporation of America shares traded at $79.52 per share during the week of Jan. 23 to Jan. 27, 2017, a 0.2 percent decrease.
