Physician-led outpatient platform launches to bring hospital-level pain care to ASCs

Soris Pain & Vascular Institute, a new physician-led outpatient platform for musculoskeletal pain and vascular care, has launched and named Yuji Okuno, MD, PhD, as founding physician and Osman Ahmed, MD, as chief medical officer, according to an Aug. 26 news release.

Dr. Okuno, who originated genicular artery embolization for knee osteoarthritis, will advise on clinical protocols and physician education. Dr. Ahmed, a professor of radiology at the University of Utah, will focus on clinical quality and standardized care model development. 

The New Baltimore, Mich.-based organization is actively developing clinics across Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina, with Florida and Texas as immediate physician recruitment priorities.
