Physician-led network acquires Colorado practice

Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Golden State Dermatology, a physician-led and -owned dermatology network, has acquired a dermatology practice in Colorado. 

Golden State Dermatology added Summit Dermatology in Colorado Springs, Colo., led by Kevin Whaley, MD, and Jeanne Osborn, MD, according to an Aug. 24 news release from Golden State Dermatology. 

The practice provides medical and procedural dermatology including skin cancer screenings and Mohs micrographic surgery.

The physicians, staff and location of Summit Dermatology will not be changed, but the practice will be supported by Golden State Dermatology’s resources and network. 

The acquisition is Golden State Dermatology’s first partnership outside of California, according to its website.
