The Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Mass., will begin plans for new surgery center this summer, according to a report by The Recorder.  

Physicians Endoscopy, Jamison, Pa.-based development and management company, has acquired Endoscopy Center of Bucks County in Newton, Pa. The center has eight physicians and three procedure rooms.

The $13 million, 42,000-square-foot Kyle Medical Plaza, which includes the recently opened Hays Surgery Center, has been acquired by Sanders Trust, a Birmingham, Ala.-based medical real estate investment firm, according to an AL report.

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to open a 100,000-square-foot clinic in Eugene, Ore., which will provide ambulatory surgery services, ancillary services and primary care, according to a Bakersfield Now report.

Lourdes Health System plans to open its new $14 million, 54,000-square-foot outpatient center, which will now house the nearby Lourdes physician practices, in Cherry Hill, N.J., according to a Philly report.

Broadstone GCSC Florida, a Rochester, N.Y.-based real estate investment company, has purchased the Gulfcoast Surgery Center in Sarasota, Fla., according to a report by Inside Real Estate.

WNY Medical Management has finished an ambulatory surgical center in Buffalo, N.Y., according to a WKBW report.

Inova Health Systems has opened the Inova Lorton (Va.) Healthplex, which will include an ambulatory surgery center, according to a Lorton Patch report.  

Triangle Orthopedic Associates has opened $2.4 million Triangle Orthopedics Surgery Center in Brier Creek, N.C. The 10,000-square-foot surgery center has two operating rooms and focuses solely on orthopedic care.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wlimington, N.C., has proposed to build a 62,300-square-foot outpatient cardiology center in conjunction with a 17,000-square-foot hospitality house, according to a Star News Online report.
