ASC Transactions & Valuation Issues

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare reported strong growth in outpatient revenue and profit in the third quarter of 2021. 

Global Nephrology Solutions has launched an outpatient kidney surgical division with the acquisition of three Arizona ASCs, the physician-led company said Nov. 8.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare will acquire SurgCenter Development and its more than 90 ASCs for approximately $1.2 billion, the company said Nov. 8. 

Surgery Partners announced a proposed public offering of 5 million shares.

A medical facility that formerly housed a surgery center has sold for $4.35 million in Fort Myers, Fla.

EyeSouth Partners completed an affiliation with Scott & Christie Eyecare Associates in Cranberry Township, Pa.

Dallas-based United Surgical Partners International, OptumHealth, which includes ASC chain Surgical Care Affiliates, and Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners, are three of the largest ASC management companies. 

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners has deployed over $130 million on acquisitions to date. 

Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital acquired an ASC from USF Health and will begin serving patients Nov. 8, the hospital said in an email.
