An Optum-operated OB-GYN practice in Rock Hill, N.Y. will close July 1, the Sullivan County Democrat reported May 8.

Crystal Run Healthcare’s OB-GYN department at its Rock Hill location will cease operations June 30. Three of the four physicians are relocating — Marie Abougou, MD, to Sun River Health in Monticello, N.Y., and Irvelyne Camille, MD, to Garnet Health Doctors in Harris, N.Y., where she will also serve as medical director of OB-GYN. The remainder of the Rock Hill facility will remain open.

The closure continues a pattern of OB-GYN consolidation in the region, according to the publication.

Becker’s has reached out to Optum and will update this story if more information becomes available.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
