Here’s what you should know:
1. The university is seeking tax incentives from both the city and county in exchange for the jobs the outpatient center will bring.
2. The land is currently held by Golf Village North. The developer offered the land to OSU for $8 million.
3. The outpatient center will cost around $95 million to develop.
4. If the city annexes the property, the medical center would gain access to city services, like police protection, street maintenance and planning and zoning.
5. The property is currently patrolled by the Delaware County Sheriff.
