Here’s what you should know:
1. The health system is building the ASC to ease caseloads on its 11 surgery rooms. All outpatient surgeries will take place in the ASC.
2. The ASC will have six surgery rooms.
3. The center will provide orthopedic, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, vascular and plastic surgery.
4. Sixty percent of NYU Langone’s surgeries are outpatient-based.
