NY officials approve Endoscopy Center of Western New York $884k expansion plans: 5 takeaways

Buffalo-based Endoscopy Center of Western New York received approval from New York officials to expand to a fifth surgical suite, according to Buffalo Business First.

Here are five takeaways:

1. The surgery center filed its expansion plans with the state Department of Health in June.

2. In the new suite, surgeons will perform an additional 3,000 surgeries each year.

3. Endoscopy Center of Western New York surgeons presently perform nearly 13,000 procedures each year.

4. The expansion is expected to cost nearly $884,443.

5. On July 27, the DOH issued the contingent approval level for the renovation.  Endoscopy Center of Western New York expects to complete the expansion in four months pending other local approvals.
